Mediation

Mediation

Mediation is an easy and accessible way to resolve differences, problems and conflicts. Communication can be restored with meditation, which tends to lead to problem-solving solutions, even to those seemingly unresolvable conflicts. Within Mediation it is not the professional who takes the centerstage but rather the clients are the ones that are empowered. The clients decide the topics and the boundaries of discussion, create ideas and possibilities and are the ones who decide about the outcome. The Mediator regulates, supports and guides this process and through his knowledge and experience creates the right setting in which all this is possible.

The Mediator

André Kuijpers

After graduating from the university in Law and various years of labour experience in the field I choose the road of Mediation. Judicialization of conflicts polarizes parties and deteriorates the communication between the parties. These parties are opposing each other, they do not see the interest of the other party or find any common interest. Besides within legal processes clients are in the background because they are represented by counsellors and are not able to take power into their own hands. In Mediation, clients are empowered to decide for themselves and to look not only to their own interests but to common interests as well. Time after time people are able to restore communication, respect and understanding through which, even seemingly unresolvable conflicts are being addressed and resolved. This is the power of Mediation and which empowers me to dedicate myself with passion to this informal process.

Family Mediation

Family Mediation concerns the solutions of differences, problems or conflicts within families. Family Mediation is often used to handle divorces. The relationship between the clients as ex-partners, the relationship between the clients as parents, the interests of the children, the division of goods and, if applicable, the endowment for the children and ex-spouse are the most important topics which are being addressed during a Family Mediation.

The Mediator will take in consideration the special sentiments and emotions that is often an considerable part of a divorce and through his special skills he will reduce the chance of fighting throughout de process.
